Formworks castings

In a series of assignments, four types of modular systems were developed in this GSAPP class. In some assignments I worked collaboratively with
Charles Meredith and Elise Riley. The class focused on mold and casting design. I used plaster for most casts and blue foam with the CNC mill to construct the molds from computer models.
The designs focus on unit connections as well as multifuctional modules. The final project was to design a formwork system to be used at a girl’s school in Malawi. For this, we designed the B-roots planter brick, and I designed a paver system. The class was very enriching and fun.
