I had the opportunity to work with Hook vonMilhoan, a master finish carpenter for a couple months to help with the carpentry for this new bar down the street from me. I helped pick out, cut, condition, finish, and put up many of the boards for the facade and other interior elements. I also siliconed a window, routed and cut 100-yr old cathedral oak trim, finished framing a ceiling element, sanded and puttied the doorframe, and helped with other general things. It was an amazing learning experience and I became comfortable using many more tools and picked up more invaluable woodworking tricks.
