Hoboken / Jersey City Transit Terminal, Mixed Use & Masterplan

This studio project is located on a 76-acre site of the existing Hoboken terminal, and was a collaborative effort with Caroline Quinio. The terminal currently serves a large sector of commuter railroad, the PATH train, ferry service to Manhattan, buses and the NJ lightrail. The studio called for adding 3,000- 5,000 units of housing to the site, as well as proposing an additional use for the area, which in our case was a biomass gasification power plant and waste processing facility. The siteplan seeks to physically connect Jersey city and Hoboken formally and programmatically.
