B-roots Triangular Planter Bricks
The final project was to create a modular formwork system that could be used in the design of a girls' school in Malawi. We developed the B-roots planter brick that can be used to create a variety of outdoor porous wall systems and clusters. The bricks can also be stacked vertically to create a column or "totem pole" of plants. They can be used as an educational tool, where kids would be able to plant seedlings in them and watch them grow and develop. We thought of using the porous wall configuration as a divider wall planter for the outdoor dining area of the school.
